now im no scientist, so please excuse my ignorance in places. i am one of those tinkerers that hope after much trial and error, a perpetual motion machine will appear in front of me. i do respect the laws of science, mostly i just find it challenging and fun to think out the box.
i need someone to tell me where the loop hole is in this idea, (because my feeble physics can't see it)..
A pendulum uses the force of gravity to pull it down, and its momentum to push it back up. ie: gravitational potential energy is converted to kinetic energy and back again. in a world of no friction, this would be the only conversion of energy. (is this right?)
then lets remove the friction. lets put the pendulum device in a vacuum chamber. no air resistance. next (now im not sure of the physics and dynamics of magnets, so here goes..), where the pendulum would usually connect to the pivot, create an arrangement of magnets, such that the pendulum does not touch the base yet is still suspended from a fixed point. the magnet arrangement would not promote nor push the pendulum to any resting position, but be completely neutral to the motion of the pendulum. there goes friction.
can a complete vacuum be created in a lab environment?
surely a circular arrangement of magnets could be formed to create the 'cradle' described above.
sorry; by the way, this is not meant to be an over unity machine, yet still a perpetual motion machine in the sense of the word.
